And baby makes three

We're working on having a baby.
We first had sex without contraception of any kind on December 2nd.

We've thrown around baby names we like.
I'll put up a list of those in a bit.

My favorite quote from this adventure so far:

"Is that your pee?"
"Yes."
"Ooh, don't walk around with your pee!"

It is very unlikely that Bryna is pregnant yet. But she could be. And that is such a strange feeling.
She is doing a pregnancy test as I type. She doesn't know what I'm typing. She is mostly just doing it to get used to doing it. She also has some ovulation tests that help figure out when the ovulation is happening.

We've been together for 15 years. We've been very careful. We're stable and mature (comparatively) and yet it still feels reckless. There is an economic crash, they're predicting a bad depression, the environment is in bad shape and holy wars continue to break out, yet still we're doing this. They say there is never a perfect time and you'll always find a reason to wait, but it really feels like the universe ganged up to drive the point home with us. :)

More on this subject later. For now it will suffice to say, we have thought about it, talked about and we are comfortable bringing one person into this world and do our best to raise a person that will add to value of the world rather than detract. This person will be VERY VERY VERY LOVED and will always know it. We have more specific plans for parenting but that is the core. :)

State Fair Fun

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm the worst wedding/married life blog updater ever.
I will eventually get wedding pics up, for real. But for now, here are some cute pics from our trip to the CA State Fair this weekend where we kissed atop the ferris wheel, saw baby goats and pigs, rode the log ride and ate things that living creatures were not meant to eat, delicious, evil things.
My favorite part was the hour and a half it took to find parking and then get shuttled via school bus from the parking lot to the front gate of the fair. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I Can Feel My Lifetime Piling Up

I can't believe that I haven't blogged on this hear wedding blog since the centerpiece selection. Ah well, so much for good intentions.
Look in the reflection behind the magician in this picture and there Bryna and I, the newlyweds, having our honeymoon in Rome.
Life was crazy before the wedding. And we've been playing catch up ever since, but we're married and happy as can be about it.
The wedding was beautiful, our honeymoon in Rome was a thrill and I'll write more about all of it very soon with lots of pics, I promise.

Bonsai Center Pieces

Last night I met Gary and Lucy Judd, a wonderful couple who grow really beautiful bonsai trees. They will be supplying the bonsai center pieces at our wedding. I'm really excited to have them on board.
To give you an idea of the size of this tree, note that it's being held in Lucy's hand.

Bridal Shower

The crew of ladies in charge of making sure that Bryna's wedding experience is all it can be did a bang up job with her bridal shower apparently. It was high tea with hats and gloves and many, many presents.
And just look how happy my beautiful fiancee is here in her big silly hat.

Registered

Okay, so we registered. I'm not all that comfortable with the whole GIVE ME STUFF thing, but I also know that we've used registries when we've gone to weddings and it was convenient and we knew we got the couple something they wanted.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't feel you have to get us anything and don't feel you have to get us something that we registered for either.
That said, we're registered at:
And, we'll soon be registered for some charities (any advice on the best way to do this is very welcome.) In the meanwhile, we support gay marriage, feeding hungry people, providing health care to people, WEAVE, worshiping the dark lord in all his glorious evil (just kidding moms.)

RSVP

Hi.
If you got an invite and you want to RSVP you can do so in the comments section of this post, or you can send an email to keithlowelljensen at gmail dot com, but of course write it out the correct way, I'm just trying to avoid spam.

Coming soon, links to where we registered and links to charities that you can donate to as a gift.

Invites and such

We got our invites from Irina Beffa. She's wonderful and so are the invitations. I'll try and get a .jpg up soon.
It's hard making the guest list. 120 guests seems like a-lot, but our families alone take up 70 of those spots. So we have to decide who to invite and how the heck do you do that? Rating your friends is not fun. So, we use whatever arbitrary system and plan on having a huge party sometime soon, or maybe on our 1st anniverary, and inviting EVERYONE!

14 Years

January 7th we celebrated fourteen years as a couple. we've been best of friends for eighteen years. Half of our life now. And it all started with a fight about art.

ROME

Wow, I just realized this, I haven't even mentioned our honeymoon on this here blog. We're Going To ROME! Yeah, 8 days in Rome. Thanks Dad. We are super excited. Got our passports and everything.

WOO HOO!

Tonight I can't sleep, so I worked on guest list, to do lists, and this here blog, about ROME, WE'RE GOING TO ROME!

Cutes story: Bryna thought my pops was sending us to Hawaii or on a cruise or something. When he told me Rome and I called her at work and told her Rome she did a happy dance. She did SUCH a happy dance that she pulled a muscle in her leg and limped for a week. That is the most enthusiastic happy dance I have EVER heard of.
